BCS will be at Capclave this weekend, the annual D.C.-area F/SF con, where reading is not extinct! (unlike their star-cross’d avian con mascot at right).
I’m on three panels, all dealing with online magazines or their podcasts:
- Friday 9:00 pm: The Right Length For Your Story (Will your idea will require a story, novella, novel, or trilogy?)
- Saturday 11:00 am: The Elements of Editing (The art and science of editing.)
- Saturday 7:00 pm: Distinctions Between Online & Print Magazines (Are online publications doing things differently from print ones?)
I am also on a reading, of the BCS story “The Punctuality Machine, Or, A Steampunk Libretto” by Bill Powell, which was the large-cast BCS audio podcast for episode BCS 150. Come hear it read in person!
- Saturday 10:00 pm: “The Punctuality Machine” Group Reading
I will also have BCS flyers, like the ones featuring the cover art from our Sixth Anniversary Double-Issue, “Golden Age” by Juan Carlos Barquet, and anthology-cover postcards, including the cover of our Weird Western anthology Ceaseless West and the new Best of BCS Year Six anthology. Feel free to say hello!
