BCS #240 – Bennardo, Case, New Cover Art

Posted in: New Issues by Scott H. Andrews

BCS #240 is out today, featuring two returning BCS authors with tales of journey and relationship, behind new cover art.

M. Bennardo (“A Guest of the Cockroach Club” in BCS #160, “The Use and the Need” in BCS #148 and podcast BCS 128, “The Penitent” in BCS #122 and podcast BCS 106: , among others) offers “Low Bridge! Or The Dark Obstructions,” in which a burgeoning relationship grows during honeymoon travel on a 19th Century canal boat.

Stephen Case returns to the world and characters of his BCS stories “The Aeroliths” in BCS #212, “The Wizard’s House” in BCS #166, and “The Unborn God” in BCS #150 with “The Wind’s Departure,” a sequel tale about the wizard, his wind companion, and his former master and god.

From the Archives with BCS #240 is “The Dreams of Wan Li” by Andrea Stewart, from BCS #146, another tale of a nascent relationship within a life confined.

The BCS Audio Fiction Podcast is on a brief hiatus. In the meantime, peruse our episodes from earlier this year, including BCS 205: Every Black Tree by Natalia Theodoridou, narrated by M.K. Hobson, BCS 203: On the Road to the Hell of Hungry Ghosts by Richard Parks, narrated by Folly Blaine, and our five-hour audio novella BCS 200: A Portrait of the Desert in Personages of Power, narrated by podcast and audiobook narrator, writer, and poet C.S.E. Cooney.

All behind our new cover art for winter for our readers in the Northern Hemisphere: “Fortress” by Dimitrije Miljus.
