Really liked the worldbuilding in this: a neat dark post-Apocalyptic Western setting with man-eating trains--what's not to like? ;)
Seriously, this was very good, both in terms of setting and in terms of character-arc (the Hangman is such a neat idea). One of my BCS favourites so far.

Very interesting read. I love a western even if it has trains gone wild. Hope to read more from the author.

Some more great reader comments in Erin Cashier's blog (http://erincashier.com/2009/02/testing-again/#comments) and her LiveJournal (http://therinth.livejournal.com/277055.html). Thanks, all!

This was very good. Over the last six months or so I've probably read about half the stories published on BCS and this is the best. It's often said that questions are better than answers and I think this story is a good example of putting that premise to work.

I just got around to listening to this on my iPod and absolutely loved it. Great world building, great characterization, and an excellent job with first person narration--the only thing that would have made this better is if Clint Eastwood had read it, not to take away from the actual reader (Scott?) who does a fantastic job.

Excellent, excellent story. Some wonderful imagination on this one to come up with the world and characters. This story took some surprising turns as well. One of my favorites so far!

P.S. Thanks for podcasting these, by the way. I prefer listening to reading off the screen.

Very glad both you and shawnscarber above enjoyed it! It's one of my favorites as well.

Very glad you are enjoying the podcasts. (If you are a user on iTunes, please consider leaving a rating or a review on our iTunes page (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=295833491).)

Unfortunately hiring Clint Eastwood to do the readings is a bit beyond our budget, so until then, yes, you will be listening to me. :)

Ha! That would have been great for you to do a Clint impersonation on this one. :)
