In addition to BCS recently being named runner-up for the storySouth (http://www.beneath-ceaseless-skies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=247)Million Writers Award for Best New Online Magazine of 2008 (http://www.beneath-ceaseless-skies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=247), two stories from BCS were named semi-finalists in the Million Writers Award Notable Stories of 2008 (http://www.storysouth.com/millionwriters/millionwritersnotable2008.html):
"The Crystal Stair" by Charles Coleman Finlay & Rae Carson Finlay (http://www.beneath-ceaseless-skies.com/forums/../story.php?s=7)

"Architectural Constants" by Yoon Ha Lee (http://www.beneath-ceaseless-skies.com/forums/../story.php?s=3)
Congratulations!

These stories and the other hundred or so semi-finalists will be culled down to ten by storySouth founding editor Jason Sanford (http://www.jasonsanford.com/), by May 15. Then the public will vote top winners from those ten.

Best of luck to Charlie & Rae and to Yoon!

And a nice shout-out about this recognition from Sean Wallace (http://oldcharliebrown.livejournal.com/241242.html) of Wildside Press, who had the magazines he co-edits, Clarkesworld Magazine and Fantasy Magazine, also place stories among the semi-finalists. Thanks!
