Baen's Universe, a pro-rate ezine that's been publishing for three years now, will close in spring 2010 (http://baens-universe.com/articles/Universe_Closing) after the end of their fourth year.
I'm sorry to see them go. Their stories were often more SF or more urban F than I personally was interested in, but they did seem focused on publishing entertaining stories that readers would want to read rather than grossly literary stories seemingly written for other writers to read.
That to me was a refreshing change from the majority of F/SF magazines, so it's a shame that they won't be sticking around.
