What a pleasure to read such a finely crafted story. The taut description beautifully created the setting; the characters had personal depth, conflict, ambiguity, and the story itself interesting and fantastic turns. An excellent read!

I really love the imagery you used here, Sue! It was an excellent tale, and I particularly liked the images of the bard's singing.
