"To Kiss the Granite Choir" by Michael Anthony Ashley (http://www.beneath-ceaseless-skies.com/story.php?s=59), from BCS #27-28, got a great review in Abigail Nussbaum's review of 2009 short fiction (http://www.strangehorizons.com/reviews/2010/03/2009_short_fict.shtml) in Strange Horizons (at the bottom of the page).
Among other high praise, she said "To Kiss the Granite Choir" was notable among short fiction "for being a fully, even elaborately realized secondary world fantasy."
Nussbaum also nominated "To Kiss the Granite Choir" for a Hugo Award for Best Novella (http://wrongquestions.blogspot.com/2010/02/2010-hugo-awards-my-draft-hugo-ballot.html).
Congratulations, Michael!
