“Where Virtue Lives” by Saladin Ahmed, from BCS #15, is a finalist for the 2009 Harper’s Pen Award.

The Harper’s Pen Award (formerly the Ham-Sized Fist Award) is given for best Heroic Fantasy or Sword and Sorcery short fiction of the year. Also among the eight finalists is James Lecky, author of “The Bone House” in BCS #20.
