BCS and Scott at ReaderCon got a nice mention from Black Gate magazine Website Editor and award-winning poet C.S.E. Cooney in the blog at Black Gate‘s site.

I bumped into Claire Saturday night and introduced myself. I had seen her name on Black Gate‘s site for a while.

As she recounts learning from that meeting, our concept of secondary-world settings here at BCS does include alt-history or paranormal historical settings (such as Weird West) based on our world here on Earth. We’re not just looking for stories set in completely made-up worlds; most any pre-modern non-contemporary setting will do.
