BCS #112, our first issue of 2013, is out today, featuring stories by two returning BCS authors and a podcast of a piece from last fall.

“Death Sent,” by Christian K. Martinez, is set in the same world as “Pridecraft” in BCS #93, which got a great review on Locus online. Stephen Case‘s “The Stone Oaks” is a different setting than his previous BCS stories, such as “The Silver Khan” in BCS #29, but it has a similarly rich yet unusual feel.

The BCS Audio Fiction Podcast episode is BCS 095: The Scorn of the Perigrinator by John E.O. Stevens, from BCS #109, a short piece that still conveys a vivid and unique world where the society and daily life are permeated by avians.
