BCS #131, our Fifth Anniversary Double-Issue, is out today!
It includes “Cherry Blossoms on the River of Souls,” a story of spiritual lands by Richard Parks, author of the Lord Yamada tales; and “Walls of Skin, Soft as Paper,” an Ars Lacuna story by Adam Callaway that’s a companion piece to his excellent “Walls of Paper, Soft as Skin”” from BCS #73.
Plus three more stories, for a total of five, including BCS debuts by Alberto Yáñez, Rebecca Gomez Farrell, and Naim Kabir.
The Callaway, Farrell, and Kabir stories won’t be released on the website until next week, but they are available now in the ebook, on Kindle and WeightlessBooks.com.
Our Fifth Anniversary Ebook Sale continues: buy a BCS ebook subscription or the new Best of BCS Year Four from WeightlessBooks.com and get a coupon for 30% off all BCS titles. (Ebook subscribers always get issues before the website.)
The BCS Audio Fiction Podcast episode is BCS 112: The Black Veil, by M. Bennardo, guest-narrated by Rajan Khanna. The cover art for our fifth anniversary is “Endless Skies” by Rick Sardhina, the same artwork as our premiere issues five years ago, displayed in the higher resolution of our new website.
The ‘From the Archives’ story is “The Sword of Loving Kindness ” by Chris Willrich, our very first story, from five years ago. We are also giving away a signed copy of Chris’s new novel The Scroll of Years, featuring those same delightful rouges Gaunt and Bone.
In five years of BCS, we’ve published over 260 stories and 110 audio fiction podcasts. And there’s more to come! Thanks so much for reading!
