“The Mote-Dancer and the Firelife,” Chris Willrich’s tale of laser pistols and spousal grief from BCS #90, one of the issues in our first Science-Fantasy Month back in March 2012, has been named to editor Rich Horton’s new anthology Space Opera.
The cover, at right, looks gorgeous, and the anthology includes space opera stories by several other BCS authors:
- Benjanun Sriduangkaew (“The Crows Her Dragon’s Gate” in BCS #118, and a new story “Golden Daughter, Stone Wife” forthcoming in text and podcast this April)
- Aliette de Bodard (“Memories in Bronze, Feathers, and Blood” in BCS #45 and podcast BCS 041 and several others, including “The Breath of War” forthcoming as text and podcast next week in BCS Science-Fantasy Month 2)
- Yoon Ha Lee (“The Book of Locked Doors” in BCS #91 and podcast BCS 078 and several others, including “The Bonedrake’s Penance” forthcoming in three weeks in BCS Science Fantasy Month 2)
Congratulations, all!
