- Novel, Ann Leckie (“Beloved of the Sun” in BCS #54, and guest narrator of the current podcast episode BCS 127: We, As One, Trailing Embers) for Ancillary Justice
- Novella, Vylar Kaftan (“Prashkina’s Fire” in BCS #48, and a new piece “Ink of My Bones, Blood of My Hands” forthcoming in BCS #149 next month) for “The Weight of the Sunrise” in Asimov’s
- Novelette, Aliette de Bodard (four stories in BCS, including “The Breath of War” in BCS #142 Science-Fantasy Month 2, and a fifth one forthcoming this fall) for “The Waiting Stars” in the anthology The Other Half of the Sky
- Short Story, Rachel Swirsky (“Great, Golden Wings” in BCS #28) for “If You Were a Dinosaur, My Love” in Apex
