BCS #184 is out today, with two stories of characters seeking escape, a guest-narrated podcast, and a starkly dark story and podcast From the Archives.

Bonnie Jo Stufflebeam (“The Girl with Golden Hair” in BCS #176 and podcast BCS 153; “Everything Beneath You” in BCS #164 and podcast BCS 142) returns to BCS with “A Careful Fire,” a dark tale of a character struggling to reach where she wants to be. 

Rebecca Campbell offers “Unearthly Landscape by a Lady,” a tale from afar of a young lady vanishing into strange worlds. 

The BCS Audio Fiction Podcast is BCS 160: A Careful Fire, the dark Bonnie Jo Stufflebeam tale. It’s guest-narrated by M.K. Hobson, narrator of the BCS podcast BCS 154: Court Bindings by Karalynn Lee.

The From the Archives story with BCS #184 is “We, As One, Trailing Embers” by E. Catherine Tobler, a tale in her strange traveling circus world, from BCS #147 and podcast BCS 127, guest-narrated by BCS author and award-winning novelist Ann Leckie.
