Two BCS stories from 2015 were named to the long list for the James Tiptree, Jr. Literary Award, an award named after the legendary author and encouraging the exploration & expansion of gender.

BCS authors with work from other magazines named to the Tiptree Long List include Genevieve Valentine (“The Finest Spectacle Anywhere” in BCS #78, among others) and Yoon Ha Lee (“Two to Leave” in BCS 174 & podcast BCS 151, among many others; most recently “Foxfire, Foxfire” in BCS #194 Science-Fantasy Month 3 and podcast BCS 168).
