In conjunction with Beth Cato’s story “The Blighted Godling of Company Town H” in BCS #268, we’re giving away a copy of Beth’s short fiction collection Red Dust and Dancing Horses: And Other Stories.
This giveaway will take place Wednesday Jan. 9 on the BCS Twitter feed @BCSmagazine. It will run from 2 PM EST until 5 PM EST.
To enter, all you need to do is tweet what your favorite fairy story from BCS is.
Beth’s pervious BCS story, “Stitched Wings” from BCS #137, which is in Red Dust and Dancing Horses: And Other Stories, featured a girl encountering a strange fairy in her mother’s gardens. Many other BCS stories have featured classic or unusual takes on fairies, faeries, or the fae. Tweet us what your favorite fairy story from BCS is, and that will enter you in a random drawing for the copy of Red Dust and Dancing Horses: And Other Stories.
To get you started, here are a few of the stories from BCS over the years that feature fairies or the fae:
“And Blow Them at the Moon” by Marie Brennan, BCS #50 and podcast BCS 044
“The Hollow Tree” Jordan Kurella, BCS #264
“Three Dandelion Stars” by Jordan Kurella, BCS #254
“The Fairy Gaol” by Heather Fawcett, BCS #66 and podcast BCS 059
“Cold Iron and Green Vines” by Wendy N. Wagner, in BCS #69 and podcast BCS 061
“The Tinyman and Caroline” by Sarah L. Edwards, BCS #17
“The Influence of the Iron Range” by Marissa Lingen, BCS #237
“The Six Skills of Madame Lumiere” by Marissa Lingen, BCS #46
“More Full of Weeping Than You Can Understand” by Rosamund Hodge, BCS #53 and podcast BCS 047
Good luck!
