He is a graduate of the Bluegrass Writers Studio, serves as a founding board member of the Lexington Writer's Room, and holds elected office as supervisor on the Fayette County Soil and Water Conservation Board. He lives in a hundred-year-old house in Lexington, Kentucky, with his wife and their many pets.
