Mattias Carosella draws creative inspiration for his writing from his MSc degree in Empires, Colonialism, and Globalization from the London School of Economics, his Venezuelan-Italian roots, and his own world travels. He considered pursuing a philosophy PhD, but was swept up in writing speculative and general fiction, and, on occasion, poetry. He is also an avid fútbol fan. Currently, he lives in mid-Michigan with his partner and their rescue dog, Vega. He can be found at mattiascarosella.com.
