The ‘From the Archives’ story along with BCS #123 BCS #123 is “The Proof of Bravery” by David Milstein, from BCS #88.

Ian McHugh’s “Cold, Cold War” in BCS #123 deals with paranormal consequences in a famous war in an early 20th-century Earth; “The Proof of Bravery” deals with paranormal consequences in a famous war in an early 19th-century Earth.

From the Archives with BCS #122 – “The Alchemist’s Feather”

The ‘From the Archives’ story along with BCS #122 BCS #122 was “The Alchemist’s Feather” by Erin Cashier, in BCS #25 and podcast BCS 023: The Alchemist’s Feather.

Both the stories in BCS #122, M. Bennardo’s “The Penitent” and Dana Beehr’s “Dreams of Peace” deal with characters under confinement and in isolation. “The Alchemist’s Feather” deals with a character under confinement, who has a charge in danger.
