When she was old enough to know better, Carla Kissane left the land-down-under and set her sights on her hometown’s exact anti-nodal point–New York City. Originally seduced by the bright lights of Broadway, she ended up falling in love with a boy from Brooklyn and has lived there ever since. A proud member of actor’s equity, Carla works as an actor, singer, and musical theater performer; and her solo show ‘Whores And Weeping Women–A Cabaret Of Shakespearean Proportions’ has been performed in three different cities across the globe since 2013. Carla is interested in contemporary stagings of classical text and developing the genre of Shakespearean cabaret, and aspires to keep her houseplants alive.
