Laurie McDougall is Red River Métis, born and raised in the heart of the Métis homeland. She is a beadworker seeking to live up to the legacy of her ancestors, and is passionately reconnecting to the broken threads of her culture. She lives in Winnipeg, Canada, with her spouse and two sweet cats, and loves the way stories, music, and language connect us all.
